UTM tagging lets you pass campaign details straight into TrackNotion so every call is tied to the exact source, medium, and campaign that drove it.
How it works
When you add UTM parameters to a landing page URL, TrackNotion's dynamic number insertion captures them. When a visitor calls the tracking number shown on that page, the UTM values are attached to the call record automatically.
Setting up UTMs
- Build your UTM URL using
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign, and optionallyutm_contentandutm_term. - Make sure dynamic number insertion is enabled for the campaign.
- Use that URL in your ads, emails, or social posts.
- View the results under Attribution — filter by any UTM field to see which campaigns drive the most (and best) calls.
Best practices
- Use consistent, lowercase naming for your UTM values so reports stay clean.
- Tag every distinct campaign so you can compare them side by side.
- Pair UTM data with call grading to measure quality, not just quantity.
